Another week of remote learning has gone by, and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for trying your best to have your children on a school routine. We are getting a lot more work submissions from our students, so on behalf of our staff, I say thank you to all of you for helping out with this at home. I realize these times are challenging, as I have my own children at home engaging in remote learning while I am trying to work. Please remember, no school day should take our students more than 1-2 hours to complete their work, so please make sure they are not feeling overwhelmed or stressed. We just want them to engage the best they can, and please know that they or you can reach out to the teachers with any questions about the remote learning assignments.
On Wednesday, I sent an email to all of you with a letter about the SeeSaw platform outlining some privacy settings that were going to be enabled. The changes in the platform took place yesterday. If your children try to use the app this weekend and realize that they have been logged out, please follow the instructions I sent (and that teachers also sent) to you. Those can be found here. Later today I will be sending a video check-in to all students. I would love to get some videos, audios, pictures, or journal responses from them. Please let them know to check their SeeSaw accounts for my message later today.
Remember that I and the Terrace staff may sometimes reach out to you from time to time if we haven't received any work or communication from your child over the course of a couple days or to just to see how you all are holding up. Please understand that this is our way of checking in and letting you know we are concerned and that we care and miss your children. We continue to try our best to stay connected with your children and with you.
If you need ANYTHING, please know you can email me, Mrs. Greenwood, or your child's teacher. We are here to help.
Please watch this brand new Terrace News update WITH your children. It is a very special message from us to all of you. I think you will enjoy it.
As always, take care of one another, be safe, and remain healthy.
Dr. Stein
