In about a week or so you will receive further communication about the plan for picking up students' belongings the last week of May. I know teachers sent you a form earlier this week to see how many of you wanted to retrieve items from school. We are in the process of planning how the pickup will operate, so please stay tuned. I appreciate your patience, as there is a lot to coordinate.
Terrace Tuesday Countdown this week asked teachers and students to wear their favorite Terrace shirts. Please enjoy this video highlighting some of our staff and students showing their school spirit. Next week, Terrace Tuesday is "make a poster of your favorite knock knock joke". Those should be pretty cool!
To all of my staff and all of you who will be celebrating Mother's Day, I wish you the very best day with your families. I know it's probably not how we all imagined celebrating this year, but that does not take away how amazing all the moms are out there, especially now more than ever. Many of our staff who have children are really learning how to balance teaching and parenting, as both are occurring at the same time now at home. For some of you moms out there reading this, you may be learning how to work AND teach your children at the same time as you are all at home together. None of this is easy, and I wanted to express my appreciation for all the moms out there who are trying to balance their families and their work at the same time. Thank you for everything you do!
I hope you all enjoy a nice weekend.
Stay safe and healthy, and take care of one another.
