Squawk! Squawk! That's right, the Courageous Cardinal has flown back to Terrace to visit those classrooms that are consistently embracing our four rules regarding bullying. The four rules are:
- We will not bully others.
- We will try to help students who are bullied.
- We will try to include students who are left out.
- If we know somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home.
This week was an exciting week, as our school was visited by representatives from Google. In order to help them with their worldwide launch of Google Expeditions, our students got to use new technology to take virtual field trips. The students (and teachers) had a great time exploring places all over the world (and even under water!). To learn more, click here to check out Google Expeditions. I also posted pictures on our Terrace Facebook page.
Today your child's fall MAP scores are coming home with them. There is a cover letter from Dr. Rashid, our Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services, explaining the assessment. Should you have any questions regarding what the scores mean or what teachers use those scores for, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher.
Tomorrow (Saturday), our PTC is hosting a Pancake Breakfast from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. The Book Fair will still be open. We hope you can stop by!

If you are on Facebook and would like to see what is going on at Terrace, be sure to check out the Terrace Facebook page. Pictures are regularly posted to better give you an insight into all the great things that go on at school each and every day. Remember to click the "like" button so our updates appear regularly on your feed. Or, under the school address near the top left of this page, you can click Facebook, and it will direct you straight to the page. My goal is for us to get to 300 "likes", so tell your families and friends to "like" our page!
It is important for us to have a current email address and phone number for you at all times. If you want to ensure that you receive emails and notifications from Terrace and D62, please make sure our office has your most current email and phone numbers on file. If you send us your contact information, I ask that you please write very neatly so we can make sure we are entering the correct information in our student information system.
