Today our entire school community practiced our common expectations. Staff members reviewed and demonstrated what appropriate behavior looks like in all the different areas of the building. This culminated in a brief all school assembly where we reviewed student expectations at assemblies and reintroduced the students to the Courageous Cardinal. Students and staff did a wonderful job today!
Mark you calendars: Curriculum Night will be Thursday, Sept. 07. We will begin promptly at 6:00 in the gym (doors will open at 5:50). Please remember, this is a night for adults only. I will talk very briefly to begin the evening, and then our PTC will also speak with you about some of the generous things they do for our students and staff. At 6:20 the first session will begin, followed at 6:40 by session two, which is facilitated by our specials teachers. At 7:00, the final session will begin for those parents who wish to see another teacher because they have multiple students here at Terrace. The evening will end at 7:20. I hope to see all of you next Thursday!
Our first PTC meeting will be on Monday, Sept. 25, at 6:30 p.m. Our PTC will also be hosting a Kindergarten Mixer for our new kindergarten families immediately before the PTC meeting that same evening at 6:00 p.m. Look for more information to come from our PTC.
You should have by now received notice about paying student fees. If you have not or if you have any questions, please call Mrs. Manna in the office.
Please read the following reminders:
Parking Lot Safety: Please remember that the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our #1 priority. After school you are welcome park your car in a designated spot in our lot and walk to the front to pick up your child. Or, you may drive through the front circle and pick up your child in the pickup line. DO NOT double park your car in the lot and ask your child to run over to your car. I have personally seen students do this and nearly get hit by a car in the lot. Please listen to and work with our traffic supervisors. We need you working together with us to ensure students and staff are safe. Thank you so much.
