Today was a special day here at Terrace, as we celebrated ALL of our students for our first trimester celebration. In order to achieve this celebration, we tallied up all of the Cardinal Cards they have received so far this year, and they surpassed their milestone in order to be recognized for being safe, responsible, and respectful.
Kudos to our amazing staff, who all gave up time both this morning and this afternoon to facilitate fun activities in their classrooms. Students got to sign up for four different activities, each run by a different staff members. Our students loved being able to move from classroom to classroom and to play with students from other homerooms and grade levels. It was a really fun and exciting way to celebrate together.
Please read the following updates and information:
5Essentials Survey: Families, please take a few minutes to complete the 5Essentials survey. So far, 22% of Terrace families have completed the survey. It only takes a few minutes. Let's try and raise that number to 50% by the end of the weekend. You can click here to begin the survey: http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/. You DO NOT need an email address to complete the survey. Make sure you choose "Cook" for the county.

Arrival Parking Lot Safety: Families should drive through the front circle to drop off students. The parking lot IS NOT a place to drop off students. If you feel you need to park and walk your child to his or her line, please park on Westgate to do so. The safety and well-being of our students is our number one priority above all else.
Dismissal Parking Lot Safety: Please remember that the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our #1 priority. After school you are welcome park your car in a designated spot in our lot and walk to the front to pick up your child. Or, you may drive through the front circle and pick up your child in the pickup line. DO NOT double park your car in the lot and ask your child to run over to your car. I have personally seen students do this and nearly get hit by a car in the lot. Please listen to and work with our traffic supervisors. We need you working together with us to ensure students and staff are safe. Thank you so much.
