This week we welcomed our kindergarteners, first graders, and STEP students back to in-person learning. It was emotional and heartwarming for so many of us, as we have not seen children in this building to this extent in six months. Teachers have spent the first few days with them going over the many safety procedures and protocols that are designed to help keep everyone healthy and safe. In addition, our teachers are learning how to teach both with students in front of them and students at home. I cannot praise my entire staff enough for all of their hard work and dedication to brining children back into our building. It is starting to truly feel like a school again.
If you would like to see a small example that highlights some of the safety measures we have put into place, please click click on the link to this video. I won't be winning any best actor awards any time soon, but I hope it gives you an insight into some of the protocols we have in place.
I appreciate all of your patience as we continue to navigate this unprecedented time together. For those of you whose children are still working from home, thank you for bearing with us as we learn how to best teach in this new environment. We miss them tremendously, but we feel fortunate that we can still connect with them each and every day.
